Throwin’ in some resolution challenges this month! 1. #journeytosplits I started doing yoga about 5 months ago. It has made a huge difference in the way I feel and I don’t even do it every day! I have genetically very tight hamstrings…Thanks dad! 😉 However after working a few days a week on stretching I have noticed it has been extremely beneficial for my health. I wanted to take my flexibility to the next step this year so I decided to do this challenge! 30 days to the splits – Takes around 10 minutes per day and I usually...Read More
Sometimes during the holiday season it’s hard to eat well when you might be traveling a lot, going to lots of Christmas parties, family get togethers, etc. Of course it’s a wonderful time to indulge a little but also it can leave you feeling a little meh. Here are some of my favorite healthy snacks I pack when traveling! 1. KIND Bars Delicious and good for you! I like the dark chocolate cherry cashew bars the best. Other good flavors are the almond coconut and cranberry almond. And the dark chocolate sea salt….honestly, it’s hard to choose! Oh, and bonus! They are...Read More
I love Christmas and Christmas decor and have been eyeing some of the sweet wreaths in Trader Joe’s. Buuuut didn’t want to spend any $$ on them and wanted to see if I could make one for cheaper and I did (although Trader Joe’s had pretty amazing prices on theirs as well)! So, I did end up spending money but just a few dollars less and that’s good for the Holiday season, right? I made it all for $7 total (hit up 50% off all Christmas decor at Hobby Lobby and Trader Joe’s for greenery) all you need: -greenery...Read More
1. Banza Pasta Chickpea pasta. So freakin’ good. I also really like their branding which is irrelevant but oh well. 25 grams of protein and 13 grams of fiber. Mix in chicken and a little extra cheese on top. Getcha some! 2. S’well Bottle I take this everywhere with me! It’s practical and pretty. Oh, and it keeps water (or coffee or tea) cold or hot for hoursssssss. 3. Living Proof Hair Products This stuff has made such a difference for my hair! I have gotten down to washing my hair only 1-2x per week (some say gross, I say awesome.) It...Read More
I love Thanksgiving pies but this Thanksgiving I wanted to try something a little different – The other day I had an awesome Chai cookie from the cookie company and I thought I’d add a little twist and make it a little more festive for Thanksgiving and add some pumpkin frosting. The perfect dessert to bring when you don’t feel like baking a pie. Not a healthy eat, but it’s Thanksgiving and you deserve a treat. Enjoy a warm, spiced, chai sugared cookie with a smooth pumpkin cream frosting. cookie ingredients 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 t. vanilla...Read More
