Sometimes during the holiday season it’s hard to eat well when you might be traveling a lot, going to lots of Christmas parties, family get togethers, etc. Of course it’s a wonderful time to indulge a little but also it can leave you feeling a little meh. Here are some  of my favorite healthy snacks I pack when traveling!

1. KIND Bars

Delicious and good for you! I like the dark chocolate cherry cashew bars the best. Other good flavors are the almond coconut and cranberry almond. And the dark chocolate sea salt….honestly, it’s hard to choose! Oh, and bonus! They are gluten free.

2. Justin’s Organic Peanut Butter Cups

If you haven’t tried anything by Justin’s before…you’re seriously missing out. These are an organic sweet treat that come in dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate! Dark chocolate is my personal fav.

3. Clementines

Cheap and SUPER easy to transport. Also a delicious and refreshing snack while you’re on the road. I always pack a couple of these when I’m traveling to get some vitamin C in!

4. Justin’s Snack Pack | Pretzel’s w/ Almond Butter

Yes, back to Justin’s because I love everything they make. These wheat pretzels with almond butter are savory and salty and super satisfying. You can also get the dried banana w/peanut butter snack pack as well.

5. Organic Chia Bar

…from Trader Joe’s! Yep, I love TJ’s. These are relatively cheaper than other granola bars and they have 5g. of whole grain per bar, only 4g of sugar, and they are gluten free! They have almonds, cranberries, and pumpkin seeds in them as well so I think they are a relatively festive granola bar for the season.

6. Apple w/Justin’s Honey Peanut Butter

Perfect breakfast for when you’re on the road early. The little peanut butter packs by Justin’s are well under $1 and they are portable and the perfect serving size. They also come in lots of different flavors.

7. RX Bar

These guys are loaded with protein and made with verrryyyyyy few ingredients which I LOVE. The Coconut Chocolate bar has 3 egg whites, 6 almonds, 4 cashews, 2 dates and no B.S. (According to the label:) A little more on the expensive side but that’s what you pay for when you want to get a bar with as few ingredients as possible!

8. Raises the Bar | Chewy Granola Bar

TJ’s at it again! Love these bars. Made with oats, millet, quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat and dark chocolate chunks. 16g whole grains per serving, gluten free and low in sugar! Getcha some.

9. Sea Salt pretzels by Mary’s Gone Crackers

Organic. Gluten Free. Non-GMO. Vegan. Delicious. Last but not least, these yummy pretzels. Try dipping these guys in Justin’s almond butter or peanut butter for the perfect snack on a long road trip.

Load up on some of these goodies this Christmas season and take care of yourself!

Merry Christmas, loves!
